BREAKING: Buhari approves N30, 000 as new minimum wage.

The new national minimum wage of N30,000 has been approved by president Muhammadu Buhari.

The approval came as a result of the trapatite committee meeting with the president over pending issues on minimum wage. This meeting was held at the presidential Villa Abuja.

A bill is to be sent to the National Assembly after the approval of the new minimum wage from N18,000 to N30,000.

We recall that Nigeria labour Congress (NLC), Trade union Congress (TUC), United Labour Congress  (ULC) and other labour unions met with the federal government yesterday over the minimum wage issue.

President of NLC, Ayaba Wabba had earlier suspended the planned nation wide strike immediately after the approval by the president.
