Understanding the Holy Ghost and Power

TOPIC: THE HOLY GHOST AND POWER (Job 26:1-14)

It is important to know who the Holy spirit is, before you can understand His ways and the realities that He commands.

THE FIRST THING WE MUST UNDERSTAND IS THAT IN THE TRIUNE GODHEAD, THE HOLY SPIRIT IS NOT INFERIOR IN ANY WAY.... SPEAKING ABOUT HIM AS THE THIRD PERSON OF THE TRINITY DOES NOT IN ANY WAY DEGRADES OR RELEGATES HIS ONENESS WITH BOTH THE FATHER AND THE SON.

Behold.... This Holy Spirit is the one that makes those who know Him in a very intimate way to look like Supermen on the surface of this earth.... Didn't you hear how they spoke of Paul in the speech of Lycaonia, saying, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men? (Acts 14:11)

You can not talk about the Holy Spirit  and not be filled with Him, especially in the dimension that you know Him or are known of Him..... I tell you that He is the secret of true power with God and men.

You must catch the refining fire 🔥 of His presence...... Am already defining the The Holy spirit... So don't wait until I say number 1 this or number 2 that.... Start catching something.


THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE FINGER OF GOD.

 Like Jesus said in Luke 11:20  But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you....

Let me shock you with this.... The Holy spirit being the finger of God is figurative in the sense that He even is the one that should be bestowed more abundant honour to, as we read in 1 Corinthians 12:21-25
Vs 21. And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

Vs 22. Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:

Vs 23. And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.

Why Is This So?.....

Vs 24. For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:.... Did you hear that?

Vs 25. That there should be no schism(division) in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
This truth naturally bestowed more abundant honour on the Holy Ghost because many think of Him to be less honourable(vs23). God did it this way so that there will be no division in the triune Godhead....

It is the revelation of this... MORE ABUNDANT HONOUR on the Holy Ghost of which Jesus had, that He said concerning the Holy Spirit in Matthew 12:31-32

Vs 31. Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

Vs 32. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE WISDOM AND POWER BANK OF GOD....

 He is the essential means that garnished or beautified the heaven.

The Holy Spirit is the true comforter, teacher and faithful witness... By now you should know that these qualities are only for a person, not a dove or wind or fire, e.t.c...

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS A MEMBER OF THE BODY OF THE TRIUNE GODHEAD...

That gives Him a body which is a spiritual body, that possesses all the qualities of sight, sense and touch in the most hypersensitivity dimension......
The reason am taking time to describe this personality called the Holy Spirit, in part; because we still know in part, is because the power dimension that He unveils is mainly harnessed through an accurate, part and past-finding out of Him.

But mind you; like we said: The reason am taking time to describe or define this personality called the Holy Spirit, in part; because we still know in part, is because the power dimension that He unveils is mainly harnessed through an accurate, part and past-finding out of Him.

Therefore in knowing who the Holy Spirit is, we are also able to appropriate the power dimension of Him, in accordance to the realities of which we know that He commands and also in the dimension of which we're known by Him.

So as we talk about the Holy spirit, let's be rest assured that we're already talking about what He does; which is the power dimension of Him.

Am trying to really make this truth sink down in us because the Holy Ghost and Power can only be understood when we know who this personality is.


THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE LIFE GIVER

It says in Romans 8:11
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

So the Holy Spirit is the spirit of life or He gives life to our mortal body in so much that He transforms our corruptible or mortal body to become like Jesus' incorruptible and immortal body. If the Holy Spirit could bring back Jesus from the dead, then there's no sickness, no disease, no failed organ or tissue or womb or mind or whatsoever that He cannot create or give life to.

That's why Paul said in Romans 8:9
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

This is to so say that our true identify in Christianity is tied to having the Spirit of God and walking by the spirit also.


Again the Holy spirit in the old testament was referred to as THE ANGEL OF GOD'S PRESENCE. Since the Holy spirit is the spirit of God, then He is the one that carries God's presence.

Let me make this clear: it means that the Holy spirit is just like God's shadow but a solidly experiential shadow of God. Indicative of the fact that  everywhere God is, or intends to be by extrapolation, is where the Holy Spirit is and will be by implication of His oneness with God.

So if I say... "Welcome father" or "welcome Jesus" and already saying by implication,,,, "welcome Holy spirit"

The truth is that we even say "let's welcome the Holy spirit" as a norm but this is indicative of a conscious or subconscious understanding that if He's there, then God the father and Jesus the son must also be there too because these three are one.


THE HOLY SPIRIT LOVES TO BE ACKNOWLEDGE OR HONOURED. Remember that we said in 1 Corinthians 12:23
And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.

Since He is our senior partner, He wants to be acknowledged and given His more abundant honour in order to operate freely the realities that He carries.


THE HOLY GHOST AS OUR SENIOR PARTNER

The Holy spirit as our senior partner can be seen in Acts 5:32  And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.


Therefore, the Holy spirit is our senior partner because He also is a witness of all things just like the disciples are witnesses too and for us to fully represent the kingdom of God with Dunamis, we must rely on the wisdom, direction and strength that the Holy Ghost has for us. One good thing about His partnership is that He is ever present with us and in us and upon us all to ensure that we're never alone nor let without a comforter.


That's why many will say "something told me this" or "I was sensing it".... These are all prompting and speakings or nodding or witnessing of the Holy spirit that were not truly and diligently attended to but the truth remains that He speaks quietly yet powerfully in order to help us represent the Kingdom of God as KINGDOM EMISSARIES, in so much that He makes a god out of us to our generation.


As we journey, I want us to understand that the HOLY GHOST IS THE POWER OF GOD and our understanding of power should shift from just miracles of broken legs being healed, demons being cast out, etc...

The power of the Holy Ghost can also be demonstrated as He unveils to us the wisdom and revelation of God's word or intentions in the right time and in the right season..


The reason the Holy Ghost has not really being so pronounced in most churches and spiritual institutions, is because very little is spoken of Him yet He is the thunder of God's power

That's what we read in Job 26:13-14
Vs 13. By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.

Vs 14. Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?

In respect to this, we can see that it is the power of the Holy spirit that looses the tongue of men and makes them declare God's counsel, just as it is and much more. Let's take a critical look at that whole chapter of Job 26 and we'd see that everything the Holy Ghost is and everything He does is in power.

It says in Job 26:1-14
Vs 1. But Job answered and said,

Vs 2. How hast thou helped him that is without power? how savest thou the arm that hath no strength?

Vs 3. How hast thou counseled him that hath no wisdom? and how hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is?

Vs 4.To whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee?

Vs 5. Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof.

Vs 6. Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.

Vs 7. He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.

Vs 8. He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.

Vs 9. He holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it.

Vs 10. He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.

Vs 11. The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.

Vs 12. He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud.

Vs 13. By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.

Vs 14. Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?

Please understand that the Holy spirit has being there from the beginning even Job knew about Him so don't think that it is the new testament that the Holy Spirit started His work.

Job knew Him(the Holy Ghost) to be the spirit of wisdom and revelation even before Paul the Apostle of the new testament......


You just read it yourself..... Please are we together?.

Now someone may ask?

If the Holy spirit has being there from the beginning that even Job, David and Daniel and some few knew about Him, why then did Jesus said in John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

Now, Jesus said this because up till the time He was on earth, God had not yet taken man as His tabernacle by possession or what we call INFILLING of the Holy Spirit and that's the most important thing we now stand to enjoy as new testament saints....

It is the fulfillment of this promised that was prophesied by Moses, David, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Amos, Joel, Angels and others that those of the old were searching and desired to see in their time but didn't.

This is what we read in 1 Peter 1:9-12

Vs 9. Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

Vs 10. Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:

Vs 11. Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

Vs 12. Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

Verses 12 says that it was not revealed or manifested unto them but unto us. They only spoke of this infilling of the Holy Ghost sent from heaven and even angels too desired to look into it because they knew that they too have not seen nor heard nor even imagined the kind of power that will be demonstrated in a vessel that will carry this treasure.

 Let me conclude by saying that you just need to know what you carry and you're good to go because the world will be too small for you to manifest the multidimensional power dimension of the Holy Spirit inside you. God bless us all.
