TOPIC: PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE
TEXT: If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
Romans 12:18

The subject of peaceful coexistence for the believer is all important. It is for this same purpose that our Lord Jesus Christ says to "Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;" (Matthew 5:44)

To face the fact;
People will annoy you
Play on your intelligence
Hurt you
Despise you
Persecute you
And you will be offended

But remember the scripture says that you are the light of the world and that you are the salt of the earth.

The purpose of this light is to brighten up the lives of people around you and the salt, to add savour to their lives.

The devil who doesn't want you to give light and taste to others so as to abound in eternal and earthly rewards, also does not want men to have the light you have or the savour you carry. For this reason, he sows discord between you and these people.

What you do as a believer who is ready to put the devil to shame is to take no offence but act in love towards every offender.

When the devil wants you to hurt someone back, choose to forgive
When he wants you to retaliate or pick up a fight with someone, choose to pray for that person.

Always disappoint the devil!
Always choose peace with all men.
Jesus is Lord!
